Invited guests included David and Maureen Batty (Club Chairman and his wife); Allen and Ros Russell (South East Region Chairman and his wife); and Sue Taylor (Club Magazine Features Editor).

The weekend went extremely well and the hard work of the event's Chairman Richard Collins and his dedicated team all paid off. There were the usual sports and games like volleyball, horseshoes, boules and CCY tombola along with some more unusual ones like the 'Ruffs' dog show and the 'It's a knockout style fun games'. Main entertainment was made up of live band '4 ply' and Andrew Sillence's disco for Friday and Saturday evenings. Saturday evening was 'Prom Night'.

Site numbers were on a par with recent trends for the same weather forecast. However perhaps the most noticeable feature of this event was the atmosphere where the mood was definitely up for the whole weekend. Club Chairman David Batty remarked on the number of young people in attendance and this certainly contributed to the energy of the meet. The number of people fully participating (i.e. in fancy dress, helping out, decorating, dancing, joining in, etc) was staggering. The pennon parade was the largest for a while. The CCY contribution was very well received especially the exhibition dance routine during Prom Night.
