The Region Council The Region council exists to support and promote liaisons between DAs. The functions of all Region Councils within the Club are to promote the policy of and protect the interests of the club; co-ordinate and encourage expansion of all Club units and the formation of new ones within the Region; represent the views of its members to the National Council; and to undertake such work and activities as may be decided on by the National Council. Regional Councils work to a standard constitution which covers elections, meetings, finance, etc..., copies of which are available from Club HQ. The Council is made up of voting and non voting members. Voting Members consist of Elected Councillors and Appointed Councillors. Elected Councillors are elected by the members of the Region. Appointed Councillors are Officers appointed by the Region Council and one Appointed Councillor from each of the District Associations and larger Special Interest Sections within Region. Non Voting Members consist of advisors from smaller Special Interest Sections.
